Baker Built™ offers personalized and custom engraved AIR WINGS™ products. We can
engrave AIR WINGS™, UPPERS™, LOWERS™, HAND WINGS™ and even LEG WINGS™ & Trike Wings™.
Whether you want just one of the AIR WINGS™ products engraved, or all of them, Baker
Built™ can personalize and customize them for you. Whether you want to dress up your
already good-looking bike or would like to coordinate your AIR WINGS™ products with
the rest of your bike, we can help.
When we engrave the AIR WINGS™ products they are still in their flat stage and they
go on to their final forming stage after being engraved. Therefore we can not engrave
existing AIR WINGS™. However, replacement panels are available for those who already
have our AIR WINGS™ products and would like to have them engraved.
Engravings can also be color-filled if desired. On the darker color AIR WINGS™, especially
the Smoke, Red & Blue, color-filling makes the engraving show up more, although it
is not necessary. On the lighter or more translucent colors of wings, such as Clear,
Orange, Yellow & Teal, we normally suggest no color fill. The light reflecting
through the wings makes the engraving show up more than if they were color filled,
although we do color fill them at customer request. The most popular color for color-filling
is Gold. Silver is the second most popular choice, and White is the third most popular.
Any other colors can be used such as the yellow, white and brown shown on the Bee
Wings in the above photo, or a white rose with green leaves for example.
Note: We do not engrave the Lt. Smoke color of wings. Due to the polycarbonate
material they do not engrave as nicely. (We do however engrave on the New Generation
Lt Tint, as it is a scratch-resistant polycarbonate.)
PRICING (per pair)
Engraving is $27.00 per pair on all AIR WINGS™, UPPERS™, LOWERS™, HAND WINGS™, LEG
WINGS™ & TRIKE WINGS™.
Colorfill is $5.00 per pair per color. (1 color is $5.00 per pair, 2 colors if $10.00
per pair, etc.)
Notes on Colorfill :
• Colorfill normally shows up best on the darker colored wings such as Dark Smoke,
Red or Blue, or the New Generation Dark Tint.
• On Clear wings the engraving actually shows up better without colorfill due to
the way the light reflects through the wings. However, if you do want colorfill,
darker colors of colorfill show up better.
• The best way to think of the colorfill is ‘contrast’. On dark colored wings you
would want a lighter colorfill such as gold, silver or white. On clear wings, if
you want colorfill, darker colorfill such as black, red, or green etc. would be a
good ‘contrast’.
• On the lighter colors such as yellow, or New Generation Lt Tint, darker colorfill
will give more of a ‘contrast’, so for example silver colorfill would not show up
well on New Generation Lt Tint, as there is not much ‘contrast’.
